As a retired educator, I am finally getting to pursue my dream career as a tour guide and director. I have been leading tours since 1976 when I took my first group of students to Europe. After 26 years in education and 8 years as the executive director of a residential summer camp and retreat center, I am now concentrating on what I love to do: sharing my passion for travel, culture, and history.

I am a certified tour guide and director, having graduated from the International Tour Management Institute. I am a licensed tour guide in Washington, D.C. and New York City.

In addition to Washington, D.C. and New York, I have extensive international and domestic travel experience including student tours to England, Italy, and France and educational tours of Japan, China, and Thailand.

I am available as a tour director for domestic and international tours as well as a step-on guide in Washington, D.C. and New York City.

As the sole proprietor of Beyond the Tourist Tours, I offer both scheduled tours in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as private tours for individuals and groups. I can also design specific tours for your organization; I have developed tours for Brandeis Women, United Synagogue Youth, and am planning winery tours for a local merchant.
